Players clash after Delaps red cardStoke 1-0 Manchester City
10 man Stoke performed a little smash and grab act, snatching a winner through James Beattie shortly after Rory Delap had been sent off. More troubles for City who seem to be sinking like a stone despite laying out millions in transfer fees.

Arsenal 0-0 West Ham
Honors even in the London derby despite numerous chances for the Gunners to win it.

Aston Villa 0-0 Wigan
A frustrating day for Villa who passed up the chance to go second in the EPL. A combination of stout defending and squandered chances kept them from winning.

Bolton 3-2 Tottenham
A horrible ending for Spurs who looked to have earned a point with a battling second half display. Bolton built up a 2 goal cushion with goals from Puygrenier and Davies, but a Darren Bent double drew spurs level before Davies scored again with only 6 minutes to play.

Fulham 3-1 Portsmouth
The misery continues for Tony Adams and Pompey as they are soundly beaten once more. Johnson and Nevland (2) put the London side up by 3 b3fore Nugent scored a late consolation.

Hull 2-2 West Brom
A game that swung back and forth all day. Hull had the lead twice through Mendy and Fagan, but Simpson and Brunt, with a late penalty, pegged them back both times.

Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn
A goalless stalemate that Blackburn will have a hard time swallowing given the number of chances they passed up.

Manchester United 1-0 Everton
United continue to win with a defence first policy. The lone goal came on the stroke of half-time courtesy of a disputed Ronaldo spot kick.

Newcastle 1-1 Sunderland
Honors even in the Tyneside derby. Cisse had given the visitors the lead on the half hour, but Newcastle levelled thanks to a hotly disputed Ameobi penalty.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea
A huge win for the home side who effectively killed off Chelsea’s title challenge. A late, late double from Fernando Torres won the game, but the turning point came when Lampard was sent off on the hour mark.
