Derby 1-0 Manchester Utd.
It was a brief return to the glory days as derby knocked off EPL giants mancheater Utd 1-0 in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final (I mistakenly suggested that Spurs were in the final yesterday, forgetting the semis were a 2 leg affair). It really was a dream start for new boss, Nigel Clough, as Kris Commons hit a first half goal to ensure the much deserved victory. It will, more than likely, be a short celebration for the Rams as Sir Alex will probably run out a full team, not the group of youngsters he normally does for Carling Cup duty, who will then go on to destroy Derby at Old Trafford, but lets not take anything away from the Championship side, who were good value for their win today.
