EPL Results : Saturday Nov 8th
Arsenal 2-1 Manchester United
The Gunners broke out of their mini slump with a memorable victory over their old rivals Man Utd. A goalscoring double from Samir Nasri did the damage, with a late Rafael goal the only response from United who really cannot afford to keep dropping points if they want to stay in the title race.
Wigan 0-0 Stoke
A dull match that provided little in the way of excitement, but one that was almost stolen by Wigan if not for a great double save from Sorensen late on.
Hull 0-1 Bolton
You now have to wonder if the bubble has finally burst for Hull after their 3rd straight loss. A disappointing display which saw them fall to a 50th minute strike from Matthew Taylor.
Sunderland 1-2 Portsmouth
The home tem got off to a dream start with a 3rd minute goal from Cisse, but couldn’t build on that and eventually allowed Pompey back into the match. Belhadj hit a great equalizer in the second half before the winner from the penalty spot in injury time, coolly dispatched by Jermain Defoe.
West Ham 1-3 Everton
It was the late, late show for Everton today. A goal behind with only 8 minutes to play before strikes from Lescott and a Louis Saha double gave them the points. Saha now has 3 goals in the last 2 games and is proving to be a great addition to the Goodison Park lads.
Liverpool 3-0 West Brom
An efficient, workmanlike performance from the red who got a double from Robbie Keane, his first Premiership goals for Liverpool, and Arbeola. The win puts them back on top for the next 24 hours at least.
